Teachers Discuss Helping Students Change Gender at Controversial Online Conference

A recent online conference organized by the Midwest and Plains Equity Assistance Center (MAP) was attended by 30 teachers from 13 states.

The teachers discussed ways to help their students change their gender, which is reportedly funded by the administration of President Joe Biden.

The teachers admitted to flouting the law and using subversive methods to help their students change their gender.

The conference was called to address Republican-authored bills that enforce single-sex bathrooms, restrict transgender participation in girls’ sports, and require teachers to inform parents if their children identify as a different gender in school.

The teachers discussed ways to hide screens from parents and bragged about participating in pro-trans protest marches.

The stakes are high for trans youth, according to Shea Martin, a Black, queer, gender-expansive scholar-teacher, who discussed topics of sexuality with elementary school students.

MAP received $8.5 million in funding from the Department of Education.

The Department of Education did not respond to a request for comment.
