French official lauds SAFF efforts to develop women’s football

Secretary General of the French Football Federation Laura Georges lauded the efforts of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) to develop women’s football in the Kingdom.

She made the remarks during her meeting with SAFF Vice President Lamia bint Bahian, here on Monday. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the international friendly match between the Saudi women’s national team and its Palestinian counterpart. The match ended in a goalless draw between the two teams.

Laura and Lamia discussed the ways to further promote cooperation between the two federations in serving the development of football in general, and women’s football in particular. Laura also hailed the recent achievement of the Saudi national team, with its entry into the FIFA classification. She wished all the best for the Saudi women team in the upcoming competitions.
